Twigworth Local Centre, Gloucestershire

ARC Retail & Leisure has successfully advised Robert Hitchins Ltd on the sale of Twigworth Local Centre, a fully let neighbourhood retail scheme in Gloucestershire, to a private investor for £1.935 million. The transaction highlights continued investor demand for well-let, convenience-led retail assets serving established and growing residential communities.

Twigworth Local Centre is a modern neighbourhood retail scheme extending to approximately 8,780 sq ft, arranged across five retail units on a 0.3-hectare site. Developed by Robert Hitchins Ltd, the centre forms part of the wider Twigworth Green mixed-use development to the north of Gloucester, which will ultimately deliver over 725 new homes. 

ARC was appointed as sole agent to advise on the disposal of the asset, targeting private investors looking for income-producing retail investments with strong fundamentals. The centre was sold to a private purchaser for a price reflecting a net initial yield of 7.8%.

Riverside, Coal Orchard, Taunton

ARC Retail & Leisure have sold the freehold interest in this new-build, mixed-use development on behalf of Somerset Council. 

Completed in November 2022, Riverside at Coal Orchard consists of 40 residential apartments and 18,000 square feet of commercial space.

Situated in the town centre of Taunton, this riverside development boasts views of the River Tone, near a public car park, and is conveniently located near The Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre, complemented by Somerset’s iconic cricket ground.

124 High Street, Solihull

ARC Retail & Leisure acted for Canada Life Asset Management in the letting of this former Laura Ashley store in Solihull to Gail’s Bakery. The property is a Grade II listed building, extending to approximately 3,151 sq ft at ground floor. Gail’s signed a new 15 year lease at a rent of £95,000pax in September 2024. 

In an off-market transaction, ARC subsequently sold the asset to a private investor for a price reflecting 6.93%.
